Board of Management

 

 

Boards of Management of primary schools are appointed for a four year term. The Board manages the school on behalf of the patron and is responsible to the Patron and to the Minister. The Board must uphold the characteristic spirit (ethos) of the school and is responsible to the Patron for so doing. The Principal is responsible for the day to day management of the school and is accountable to the board for that management.

 

The current Board took office on the 1st December 2015 and will continue until the 30th November 2019. There are eight members on the Board. Two of these are appointed by the Patron, two are appointed by the parents, two are representatives from the wider community and two are members of the teaching staff. The Current Board includes:
